Tiny Shrimps are more commonly known in India as "Javla". They are used throughout Asia, Mexico, Central and South America, much of Africa, and Louisiana in the United States. In India, it is used in the cuisines of Odisha, Konkan, Andhra & Tamil Nadu region of India. In most cases they are ground to powder or soaked and mashed to paste for use in recipes, but they may simply be fried whole and can be eaten in snacks.
